FOOD/ITEMS OF THE MONTH: FEBRUARY
Help us to keep the cupboards at the Community Service Center filled. “Breakfast items, hearty Soups, Peanut butter, Jam/Jelly, Tomato sauce, and canned Fruit”.
Thank you so much for what you have provided in the past, as it makes a difference to the hungry person. There will be a basket/box set up in the foyer to collect all the supplies.
We will be having a special prayer time at 9:00 am on Sabbath mornings in the library to pray for the Voice of Prophecy meeting coming in March.
It’s time to send out care packages to our college students and this time we are adding our military person from our prayer list. The list of names are: Jen Blaser, Ashley Burman, Zvia Chikusa, David Carnduff, Rebecca Dale, Kristina Dickerson, Jacob Hauge, Irene Hwang, Isabelle Hwang, Iris Hwang, Rachel Kim, Timmy Kosaka, Elly Minagawa, Maureen Siahaan, Melissa Siahaan, Maria Skoretz, Paul Tambingon, SFC Carl Ballard. (Let’s show our college students that we care and think about them by bringing a card/note to let them know we are praying for them, or some little treat. We are holding off another week to see if we get a better response and more goodies in the boxes. Please make sure you bring your stuff this coming Sabbath, February 25th and we will get them mailed out next week).
STREET MISSION SUPPLIES:
We are running low on a few of our toiletry items , things like deodorant, nail clippers, chap stick, dental floss, toothbrushes, travel-size toothpaste, and shave cream for men & women. If you could help donate any of these items we would appreciate your help.
BABY SHOWER: We are going to have a baby shower for a few families who have recently had babies. The Flores family welcomed little Josiah into their family on December 11, 2016 and the Tambingon family welcomed little Reuben on January 13, 2017. The combined shower will be in the fellowship hall on Sunday, March 5th at 2:00 pm. Both families have suggested they could use diapers of various sizes, or gift cards to Target or Walmart.
REVELATION SPEAKS PEACE:
Life a little (or a lot) chaotic? Give your friends “Gift of Peace” through the seminar series. This event occurs every week on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from March 10, 2017 to April 8, 2017
. This seminar series with Pastor Shawn Boonstra will be held nightly (except Mondays and Thursdays) at the Puyallup fair’s Agriplex.
We need a few more people to help with the calls on the prayer chain. If you are willing, please contact the church office.
We are looking for people to tell the children's story on Sabbath. If you are willing to tell A short story, please contact the church office.
BUENA VISTA NEWS:
“Parents of preschool-aged children, we need your input! Buena Vista SDA School is studying the feasibility of operating a half-day preschool program in the future. . All feedback is needed by February 21st
. Thank you!”
