CONDOLENCES:  Our condolences for the Campbell family.  May Julie rest in peace until the day Jesus comes to take us all home with Him.  Please keep Terry, Katelyn, Jon, Kathleen and their extended families in prayer as they mourn the loss of their loved one.

MEMORIAL/CELEBRATION OF LIFE: You are invited to come celebrate Julie’s life on October 29, 5:00 pm at the Auburn City SDA Church.  In keeping with Julie’s wishes, please wear bright clothing to honor her joy for life.  A dinner reception will follow the service, and as Julie loved to play table games, a game night will be held in her honor after dinner.  For those unable to attend, the service will be streamed on the Auburn City SDA YouTube channel.

MEDICARE INFORMATION SEMINAR: Free Medicare Education Seminar ~ Basic and in-depth look at how it works for you ~ Thursday, Nov 3, 7:00 pm
CHURCH SIGN:  We have been offered a matching fund of up to $750 to finish the Wood portion of our church sign as long as it is done by December 1.  If you would like to see the sign finished, you may contribute to this matching fund by marking your tithe envelope "Church Sign".  We are working on the drawings for the portion which will hang below the sign with the Church name on it.  
MEN’s MINISTRY:  Thursday, Oct. 27th at 6:30 pm, there will be a Bible study get together for all the men who would like to participate.
Come close out the Sabbath with Vespers on November 12th at 4:00 pm. Following Vespers, we will be having a Game night. Bring your favorite board or card game and a snack to share with others.  Remember everyone is invited to both the Vespers & Game night. (New date and time for Vespers)
BV NEWS: “There will be a brief constituency meeting at Buena Vista SDA School on Tuesday, November 15, at 6:30pm in the school library. The agenda covers a vote on the constituency request from Kent Hispanic Church, as well as constitutional revisions that reference Loving to Learn. All members of constituent churches are invited to take part in this meeting.” Contact the school office at 253-833-0718 if you have questions.
BABY NEWS:  Congratulations to Shari & Justin Kim. Their daughter Elena Aejin Kim was 7 lb. 3 1/2 oz. and           18 3/4“ long. Born on 10-18-16. Her grandparents (Pastor Gary & Debbie) are thrilled at the arrival of their newest grand-daughter.

CHURCH CALENDAR:  If you did not pick up our newest calendar and would like one, please let me know.  I sat in the foyer for the past 3 Sabbaths and handed out too many of you, but I know some did not stop by.

JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM NEWS:  As we prepare to share the story of Jesus at Journey to Bethlehem, we’d like to invite you to be involved.  First, you may sign up to volunteer in many different capacities at J2Binfo.org.  Second, if you would like to invite your friends to come to this inspiring family Christmas tradition, please purchase your tickets at J2Binfo.org.

WWU Announcement:  How to Pay for College—online webinar ~ Walla Walla University will host a free online webinar for prospective students and their parents titled How to Pay for College on Oct. 26 at 4 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. This 40-minute presentation will be led by experts from WWU Student Financial Services and Marketing and Enrollment Services. After the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions. Register for the webinar at sfs.wallawalla.edu/webinars.

PRISON MINISTRIES:  Are there any men in our church who would be willing or interested in doing Prison Ministry Visitations?  Please contact the church office if you are.

Auburn City Church has an online presence through our website and Facebook page.  We regularly publish pictures, stories, bulletin, etc. that would include names and faces.  Our policy is to not print children’s last names nor to connect children’s names and faces on pictures.   If you would prefer not to have your child’s name or picture on our sites, please notify the office.  This complies with the current Washington Conference guidelines.
