Hello ACC Members – Here’s What’s Happening
FOOD/ITEMS OF THE MONTH:  NOVEMBER ~ Help us to keep the cupboards at the Community Service Center filled. Bottles of Water! Granola bars, Cup of Soup, Fruit, canned dinners (with pull tabs) Peanut butter & Jelly (small jars), juices, and healthy snacks.  Not needed are dried beans, peas, rice, pasta (it seems like the families don’t even use them)”.  Thank you so much for what you have provided in the past, as it makes a difference to the hungry   person.  There will be a basket/box set up in the foyer to collect all the supplies.
HOW TO PAY FOR COLLEGE—ONLINE WEBINAR: Walla Walla    University will host a free online webinar for prospective students and their parents titled “How to Pay for College” on Wednesday, November 8, at 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm.  This 40-minute presentation will be led by experts from WWU Student Financial Services, and Marketing and Enrollment Services.  After the presentation, attendees will have   an opportunity to ask questions.  Register at sfs.wallawalla.edu/webinars.
November 11-12 | "Meet Me in St. Louis" in Auburn:  Come and enjoy an annual musical production at Auburn Adventist Academy November 11-12. Doors open at 6 pm Saturday Sabbath night for the 7 pm showing and 11:30 am for Sunday showing at noon. The play, “Meet Me in St. Louis,” is based on the story of a family experiencing the World’s Fair in St. Louis, MO. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $5 for students. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR AMEN FREE CLINIC: November 10 & 12 at the Boys & Girls Club of South Puget Sound 3875 S 66th St, Tacoma, WA  98409 (new location).  We especially need Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants to sign up NOW, so we can plan for the number of patients we can treat.  There are plenty of jobs for Medical and Non-Medical volunteers.  For more information and to Sign-up online, go to http://www.amentacoma.com (AMEN = Adventist Medical Evangelism Network) 
FREE MARRIAGE SEMINAR: Coming to the Puyallup Seventh-day Adventist Church (902 Shaw Road-Puyallup, WA) on Friday, November 17 from 7:00-9:00 pm & Saturday, November 18 from 2:00-5:30 pm.  Pastor Mike Tucker, host of Faith For Today’s Lifestyle Magazine television program, presents Mad About Marriage. Mad About Marriage is an informative and inspiring look at ways to build better marriages. It takes principles being taught by experts on the Lifestyle Magazine show and brings them directly to local communities. Some of the topics presented include Communication, Problem Solving, Emotional Needs, Spirituality, Sexuality and Forgiveness. Mad About Marriage is free, open to all couples and singles are also welcome to attend.
WOMEN’s MINISTRY: Sunday, November 19th, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm, in the Fellowship Hall, is our annual Women’s Ministry Bake Sale and Auction.  Come to bid, buy and sample, delicious homemade cookies, cakes, pies, jams and other goodies from our Auburn City gifted bakers.  All proceeds from this event will go directly to support Auburn Community Outreach programs.  Bring your sweet tooth and money to this fun and tasty event!  Contact Debbie Gamble (253) 833-9516 for questions and inquiries.
DISASTER RELIEF: We have had water damage to our Disaster relief bucket and are looking for some donated supplies.  If you can help donate any of these items, please bring them to church and let the deacon in charge know and they can get them put away.  The following are items needed: (7) pair of leather gloves; (2) clip boards; batteries AA, C & D; (2) hand-held flashlights. Your help is appreciated.
SAGE Senior Activities: Pencil in these dates to join Seniors in Action for God with Excellence! 
• January 9-25, 2018 - SAGE Maranatha Mission Trip to Costa Rica. Build 4 one-day churches, paint existing churches, hold medical clinics, VBSs, and evangelistic meetings.
BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION:  We are still collecting the “Boxtops for Education” but the Conference office is no longer collecting the Worthington/Loma Linda labels or the Campbells labels which have been discontinued.  You can leave the “Boxtops for Education” in the basket in the church Foyer.
Auburn City Church has an online presence through our website and Facebook page.  We regularly publish pictures, stories, bulletin, etc. that would include names and faces.  Our policy is to not print children’s last names nor to connect children’s names and faces on pictures.   If you would prefer not to have your child’s name or picture on our sites, please notify the office.  This complies with the current Washington Conference guidelines.
