Pastor Kim grew up believing there was a God in charge, but not sure what He did. He was a successful business man for 20 years, but money did not provide what he was searching for. He continued to search for fulfillment and purpose in his life, and he found Christ in his early forties. Pastor Kim felt called into His service as a Seventh-day Adventist minister. He met his wife, Lisa, in June 2002; and they were married in 2003. They have 4 sons: Kim, Kyle, Dylan and Levi; one daughter, Annalisa, and several other young people who have adopted them as a family.
They love young people and have always been involved in youth and young adult ministries. Pastor Kim’s wife has been his ministry partner in every church where they have served. Lisa is the Adventurer Club leader for kids 5 to 9 years old, and she also started the Earliteen girls’ ministry in order to mentor the young ladies in the church. She has been a regular speaker at women’s ministry events in the churches where they have served and has served as a local elder. Pastor Kim is the Adventurer Club and Pathfinder Club chaplain and serves as the Young Adult Sabbath School leader, and they both serve in the church’s community outreach to feed and clothe those in need.
Life is challenging. Pastor Kim and Lisa believe that Christians can find practical applications and answers to meet those challenges through the study of God’s Word and through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. The focus and emphasis of their ministry has been to spread the good news of the powerful transformation in people’s lives that occurs when they accept Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord.
